Things Just Keep Getting Worse for Raiders
Sure, the Niners are who we really care about, and they have their own problems (in addition to a tough schedule) but you get the feeling SF will start winning some of these close games soon.
The team across the bay wishes it had the same problems as the Niners. The Raiders are just not a good team and you used to think the problems stemmed from Al Davis or the players. Well, Tom Cable is the problem and the stories perpetuate claims of domestic violence against former partners.

Running Commentary: Niners vs. Vikings
Feel free to comment on this game as I provide my comments.
1st Quarter: The Niners look to be in for a long day. First, Gore reinjures his ankle. Then, AP gashes the Niners for a 35 yard run. Now, Sidney Rice just hooked up with Favre on a TD pass. Ouch. Let’s see if the Niners can respond.

If the wild-card race between the Giants and Colorado Rockies goes down to the final weekend, it’ll be decided in the unfriendliest of territories.
DeBartolo to be honored by 49ers over weekend
If he were still in an ownership position with the 49ers, Eddie DeBartolo Jr. said he might handle the ongoing impasse with top draft pick Michael Crabtree a little differently than the team’s current management group, led by his nephew and club president Jed York.
Zito solid as Giants beat wild-card leading Rockies
Barry Zito struck out a season-high nine in his biggest win yet as a Giant, Juan Uribe drove in three runs and San Francisco shaved another game off Colorado’s hold on the NL wild card with a 10-2 victory over the Rockies on Tuesday night.
Giants' Lincecum returns, shuts down Rockies
Pablo Sandoval burst out of a pregame hitter’s meeting and excitedly pointed to his new T-shirt. It pictured the Joker from “Dark Knight” holding up a wild card with the Giants’ logo on it, and a one-word slogan below:
