Tuesday, April 28, 2009 - 9:45am As a veteran talent evaluator mentored by the masterful and cunning Ron Wolf, 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan is well versed in the art of pre-draft deception. For NFL decision-makers, the rules when it comes to talking about possible picks are pretty simple: Say as little as possible, and when you do reveal information to the media, dishonesty is the only policy.

this makes McLoughan out to be some sort of great talent evaluator. give me a break..how hard is it to draft Crabtree when he’s on the board at #10? GMs should be graded for what they do on day 2 of the draft, not day 1.
interesting look at the 49ers decision making process.
